How Can You Become Involved in the Work of NROCRC?
The Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) is a non-profit social services organization. We work closely with residents of our three communities, other service providers, all three levels of government, and our corporate and community funders.
The services we provide are essential to our communities and there are many rewarding ways you can become involved. Whether you have an hour a week or a full day to give, your time makes a genuine difference in the lives of Ottawa residents who rely on our programs.
Become a Volunteer
NROCRC has seasonal volunteer opportunities for youth, student placements, and adults who reside in Nepean, Rideau, and Osgoode. We are committed to providing a quality experience for all volunteers that choose to join the agency — including orientation, training, and ongoing support from our team.
Volunteer roles may include assisting with reception and admin, helping at community events, supporting community programs, and more. No prior experience is necessary — just a willingness to help and a connection to the community.

Looking for an engaging corporate or group volunteering activity? The NROCRC Kits For A Cause Program is a hands-on team-building experience where participants assemble "care kits" filled with essential items for individuals and families in need across our communities.
This program was developed specifically to accommodate groups of all sizes — from 5 to 5,000 participants. Whether you're volunteering with friends, family, a school group, or your workplace, your contribution directly impacts our community. Kits are distributed through NROCRC's programs and partner organizations throughout the year.
